POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN ASSOCIATION WITH PROJECT MANAGEMENT ZIMBABWE (PMZ)

About PMZ

Project Management Zimbabwe (PMZ) is Zimbabwe’s largest association of Project Management practitioners, with 14 years of experience. PMZ accommodates Project Managers from all walks of projects and qualifications. PMZ is also a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP, and strategic partner of the PMI Zimbabwe Chapter.

Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management

1. To be accepted into the program, you must have at least a first-degree qualification from a recognized university. Exceptional candidates who do not possess degree qualifications but have higher national diploma qualifications deemed equivalent to a first degree, and several years of experience may be accepted subject to approval by the PMZ Academic Committee.

2. Candidates that hold additional qualifications such as PMZ-COCPM, PMP, PRINCE2 or other Advanced Project Management qualifications may be exempted from modules 2 and 3.

3. The Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management (PGDPM) is a high-level professional adult learning program that consists of nine modules and requires that learners must have passed all the 9 modules and submitted a supervised Project Management Research Project (Dissertation), in order to qualify for the award.

4. The modules are delivered over 2 semesters taught at CBS. (March and September intakes)

5. Semester 1 for the March intake runs from April- June while Semester 2 for the same intake runs from October-January. Semester 1 for the September intake runs from October-January and then April to June will be semester 2.

6. Examinations for all intakes run in parallel series in August and March including supplementary examinations

7. After completion, certification and graduation will be done by PMZ.

8. Candidates who complete the PGDPM course will qualify for the prestigious Master of Science (MSc in PM) degree program.

  •  A minimum payment of USD300 is required for you to register. The remaining fees can be paid in instalments over a maximum of 3 months.
  •  Lectures will be conducted face to face 2 weekends per month.
  • Lectures will be done at Claremont Business School in Harare Assessment will include 1 Assignment, 1 Practical, 1 test and 1
  • Final examination for each course. Coursework (Written assignments, Practical’s and Tests) contribute 40% of the final mark and the examination component contributes 60% of the final mark.
